Engine and Tools Specialization – Pixie Engine & Editor

Pixie Engie is the main project for my Engine and Tools specialization course.

The goal was to create a simple engine that can support the creation of a basic game. I chose to focus on a spline based game, and making sure the editor had tools to manage how objects move along those splines.

Older Projects

Solo Project Sidescrolling Demo

This is a bite sized scene that I used to learn more about making games in unity. This video demonstrates changing the time of day, and the control rebind menu. I am especially proud of the shader I made for the environment. I think the dithered patterns it makes creates a unified mood across the 3d and 2d art assets I produced. Sadly youtube’s compression hates this effect. For the best view of the shader download the game and see it there, the highest resolution on youtube is still not quite as crisp as the game itself. The game is currently confirmed to work on a few windows 10 machines.

A Ruin Called Hope

2 person game jam. I did the title illustration, music, one or two sound effects, and a couple of sprite edits for this game jam with my wife Trick.
